From the schedule
to final deliveryI coordinated the full post cycle of four productions across series and features, including A Estranha na Cama (Netflix) and Galera FC (TNT), from planning to final delivery. I owned the technical and financial viability of each project: master schedule, budget, variance analysis and resource reallocation, with a standardized pipeline and asset management between executive production and the technical departments.

Post coordination · weekly comedy
The comedy
production lineI ran the operation that put three new sketches on air every week, across multiple platforms, under high demand and critical deadlines: editing, motion and finishing running in parallel, hour allocation per team and a standardized process between creative, production and post. The workflow and quality control reports I built informed the calls on production capacity.

Ex-TV Nerd
(opens in a new tab)
A read on the 2010s split by window (broadcast, basic cable, premium cable and streaming), because each one produces under a different logic, and measuring them all with the same ruler is the habit awards and criticism keep repeating. The thesis: elevating TV to art froze a single standard of quality, the expensive production with cinematic language and a marquee name on the credits. Between arguments, the market math: billion-dollar showrunner deals, the $300 million behind The Morning Show and the debt Netflix ran up chasing catalogue.
-
Quality TV
(opens in a new tab)
A thesis that turns the notion of quality television inside out. In criticism and in the market the label almost always sticks to drama; here the object is comedy on American pay TV: the history, the concept and the social function of the genre, with HBO at the center for being the channel that consolidated the term in its own institutional discourse. The title carries the provocation: when did comedies become 30-minute dramas?

The HBO Rupture
(opens in a new tab)
Enlightened (HBO, 2011) as a limit case: a dramedy that exposes the market paradoxes of contemporary pay TV and the cost of sustaining a discourse of differentiation. The article unpacks how the channel built a brand on “it’s not TV” and what happens when its own product does not fit the ruler it created.
